GRAND PRIX

For best film in the International Competition
(diploma and a prize of 5000 Euro)

was given to ‘ONE WAR’ (Russia) by director VERA GLAGOLEVA


SPECIAL JURY AWARD

For a film in the International Competition went to ‘THE LAST SUMMER OF LA BOYITA’ (Argentina-Spain-France) by director JULIA SOLOMONOFF.

AWARD FOR BEST DIRECTOR

For a film in the International Competition went to MIROSLAV MOMCILOVIC for his film ‘WAIT FOR ME AND I WILL NOT COME’ (Serbia)

The award consists of a diploma, trophy and a prize of 1,000 Euro.


The KODAK AWARD FOR BEST BULGARIAN FEATURE FILM

(diploma, a trophy, film negative and laboratory services amounted of 4000 USD, provided by Kodak) went to ‘EASTERN PLAYS’ by director KAMEN KALEV

JAMESON SHORT FILM AWARD FOR BEST BULGARIAN SHORT FILM

(a trophy and a prize of 6000 Euro, provided by Jameson) went to „Tales” (Bulgaria) by director NIKOLAI VASILEV.

AWARD FOR BEST DOCUMENTARY

For film in the International Documentary Competition (provided by Bulgarian National Television) was given to the film ‘COOKING HISTORY’ by PETER KEREKES

The award consists of a diploma and a check worth of 1,000 Euro with an option to buy-off the film for broadcasting by the Bulgarian National Television.


AUDIENCE AWARD

(provided by Sofia Municipality) for the audience favourite movie went to Jacob Tierney’s film “THE TROTSKY” (Canada)


NO MAN'S LAND AWARD FOR BEST BALKAN FILM

adjudged by the Bulgarian Guild of Film Critics went to ‘WRONG ROSARY’ by director MAHMUT FAZIL COSKUN.


The award consists of a diploma, box of ‘No Man’s Land’ wine provided by the Festival, and a gift voucher worth of 3,000 Euro in post-production services provided by LVT SOFIA.


FIPRESCI AWARD

The Sofia International Film Festival is the first one in Bulgaria where a FIPRESCI award is presented since the ‘80s. Thirteen films will compete for the FIPRESCI Award within the frames of the 14th Sofia International Film Festival.
